Thurston, Nebraska, June 1st, 2007 - Thurston Manufacturing Company, manufacturer of BLU-JET products, is pleased to announce the release of the BLU-JET AT6010 Commercial Class Fertilizer Injection Applicator available for use this fall 2007. This newest offering combines the most popular features from current BLU-JET models with new innovations geared toward today’s high “N” rate, high acre, and high residue applications. AT6010 replaces the former model AT5000 and is expected to take its place as the premiere Commercial Class Fertilizer Injection Applicator on the market.

The AT6010 provides unmatched versatility for producers with varying terrain, soil conditions, and residue situations. The Heavy Duty 6”x6” tubular frame is designed with a downward and upward flex capability of nearly twelve vertical feet on 60 foot swath widths, making uniform depth placement over uneven terrain more achievable. Available rocking dual wheels with large tractor style tires on the center section and two single hydraulic gauge wheels on each wing maximize flotation while reducing soil compaction caused by large equipment. Transport Width remains at an unmatched 16.5’. Row units are best configured with the BLU-JET MaxPac spring bundle to help ensure accurate depth in heavy soil types with rocks. SCS2000 spring bundles are available for lighter soils and less rocky conditions. For regions without obstructions, a direct shank mounting is also available. Row unit options include configurations for PrePlant, SideDress, and StripTill operations. The number of row units available on 30” spacing include 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, or 25. 20” spacing includes 24, 25 or 36 rows and on 15” spacing 35, 37, and 45 rows are offered. The AT6010 Fertilizer Injection Applicator is designed to alleviate many of the time, terrain, and residue challenges faced by today’s top producers.
