Circle R Announces 2-Year Warranty on 2008 Model Year Side Dump Trailers

Thurston, Nebraska, December 13, 2007- In a recent press release, Thurston Manufacturing Company (TMC) announced it would be extending the warranty on its Circle R Side Dump Trailer product line. The new two-year warranty, guaranteeing the trailers to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, has been in effect since the 2008 model year. The company states they have doubled the standard one-year warranty due to the extremely low number of warrantable incident dollars.

Nick Jensen, Vice President of Marketing for TMC reported, "a recent three year period of warranty claims for Circle R Side Dump Trailers were a mere 0.19% of trailer sales, and that includes purchased components which we have no control in design. In an industry where downtime can be the difference between showing a profit and loss…that is an extremely important number to our customers."

Jensen also mentioned that the warranty includes tub cracking, an issue that plagues the side dump industry due to the inherent frame twist effect during the dump cycle. "Circle R has not had any incidents of tub cracking since we redesigned the tub in 2001", he said, "and chassis cracking has virtually been eliminated". Jensen continued, "The recent addition of Finite Element Analysis in the design process will enhance our quality and performance even further."
